INVISIBLE DIVISION

Installation in space (jumping board, plexiglass)
Dimensions: 60 cm × 120 cm × 300 cm

Invisible Division is an installation that reevaluates the ideological frameworks of the society in which we exist and develop.

In the pursuit of higher levels of growth, shaped by evolving social dynamics, a paradox emerges: our society and its systems claim to uphold ideals of freedom and structured possibility, yet remain entangled in invisible barriers – often more restrictive than those that are openly defined.

What causes this paradox? Why do these invisible divisions appear exactly where they do? How might they be removed, or how could interaction be established between the separate realms they create? Are these barriers a reflection of ourselves – an expression of our unawareness or limited perception of the mental spaces we inhabit, suggesting that we ourselves construct them?

Or are they imposed by an external system, a higher authority acting above us, presenting the illusion of freedom and offering platforms for progress that ultimately remain inaccessible?

The work physically embodies this tension: a jumping board extends toward a plexiglass wall, preventing the leap forward. The barrier exists as a tangible presence, yet remains intangible in concept – a perceptible, elusive obstruction, a metaphor for the unseen forces that structure our movement, agency, and perception within social space.
