4-Channel Spatial AV Installation
Duration: 29 min
Our daily conscious and unconscious actions shape both our environment and our perception of reality. Simultaneously, the environment affects the individual. In this ongoing state of flux and profound change, the question arises: How do identical processes respond to differing contexts, external influences, or manipulations? When visual and auditory structures are filtered through external influences, where and when do perceptual shifts occur?
Organic and synthetic textures – transformed and generated with Max/MSP, Blender, and open-source techniques – continuously merge and evolve. As textures unfold, viewers physically negotiate these shifts, their perception continuously adjusting and tracing the subtle interplay of action, environment, and sensory response.
Timelines overlap and intersect, exposing multiple possibilities within the temporal flow and highlighting how sequences of action produce emergent patterns. The work situates the audience at the threshold between familiar and transformed perception, revealing how sensory structures adapt, resist, or collapse under external influence.
